The very thought that many of Hillary's supporters will vote for McCain just because he chose a human being with breasts is just plain insulting. Hillary supporters were eager to see her become president because of her ideals, not because she has a bouffant hairdo. I just heard a caller on CSPAN gloat about the fact that now all women will "just swing over" to McCain's camp. What do the Republicans think about women? That we are idiots who have no political savvy? This ex-beauty queen, small town mayor, recent governor, whose husband is an oil executive is NO Hillary Clinton. Thinking she is will cost John McCain the presidency.

110% agreed.
I agree. Unfortunately, it seems some of these PUMAs have truly lost their minds... Hopefully, Joe Biden will tear her apart in a debate, but without pulling a "Rick Lazio," which could be fatal.
"whose husband is an oil executive"
Just this, should send up a red flag!!!

I totally agree. The choice of Palin shows McCain's lack of understanding of Hillary's appeal to American women. He picks a former beauty pageant winner, anti choice and pro-gun, laughably inexperienced. But cute. She's been thrust into the spotlight and her pageant poise is working for her. But she's like another crazy Harriet Myers type nomination.
I do agree that McCain's choice of Palin is an insult to women. I'm a professional, pro-choice, atheist Republican female who wishes the God Squad, and big government folks would get lost.
This woman may be a McCain'ish "finger in the eye maverick" (an Alaskan Jesse Ventura without the military background!!!) but she is not qualified to run this country and the military actions we are involved in, let alone those we may soon be facing. McCain is a disgrace.
That said - you are absolutely WRONG about her husband. He is a blue collar worker, and a commercial fisherman.
Please don't contribute to the internet smears.
Sorry if I read the information wrong, but I did read that he worked for (BP) British Petroleum Oil. Being a person who has lived on or near the water for years, I know everyone in those small seaside towns are "fishermen". It seemed kind of odd she called her huisband a fisherman when I read he was employed by an oil company. Do you know the man? Could you suggest a link? I'd be more than happy to read something positive about him. I don't want to smear anyone.
